Every opponent would rather fight a prime mayweather then a prime Pac because the worst that happens to you against a prime may is you lose a UD

The best boxer you've shared the ring with is not always the best fighter you've shared a ring with. The correct answer can be both Pac and Floyd...

if you was a top 147lb fighter you'd prob think you'd have a better chance of beating pac but at the same time you'd definitely have more of a chance of taking an absolute beating and getting knocked out fighting pac, wheres as floyd would just make you look like an idiot for 12 rounds and would frustrate the living hell out of you
i'll take frustration and a bigger pay cheque over getting my skull caved in

Even Marquez said Floyd was the better fighter and that’s why he refused to rematch there was no point and he also said the weight had nothing to do with it

It is convenient to Cotto's ego and mindset to believe that the Pacquiao that did that to him was roided to the gills.
After all, he refused random drug testing soon after when Mayweather-Pacquiao was first proposed.

this is what is obvious to me. if youre talking point scoring ability and flashiness, then floyd is better. floyd held a speed, reach, and knowledge advantage over most fighters he fought, it was in his best interest to operate from a defensive strategy, where his advantages practically guarantee a win, just stay upright. plus, he doesnt have the temperament to willingly give up those advantages in a ko race.
pac was a fighter first, a warrior, a soldier. the heat of battle is his element.

    You're a ****ing liar!!!!
The one thing Marquez emphasized about his fight with Mayweather is that he was outweighed by over 12 lbs in the ring.
Initially after his loss to Mayweather, Marquez entertained the idea of possibly rematching Mayweather.
Marquez has always praised Mayweather's abilities, but he's noted that he thinks he could have done better against him had he had a couple of tuneups to get acclimated to the weight.

Anyways, there was never any real call for a rematch as the talk in boxing was always for Mayweather to fight Pacquiao.

I guess Floyd showed toughness with his chin. I reckon he was badly hurt more often than we would ever know but yeah, Pac chose to fight more than Mayweather did. You play to your strengths, it would be daft not to.

Cotto was better trained not drained and at a better place mentally when he fought pbf than when he fought pac thats why.

Exactly! Jmm was willing to fight pac 4 times but declined to rematch pbf despite a career high payday and a shot at redemption

Well, I didn't say I disagree with what Cotto said.
Argument that Floyd is the better skill fighter is certainly valid.

Cotto is easily the most overrated boxer of all time.

Probably because he has no memory of the beating Pac gave him.

"Mayweather — he don't like to fight."

Marquez said that he had no interest in fighting Mayweather because Floyd doesn't like to fight. Said the same thing about Bradley.
