It's not obvious to you guys why Miggs said that?

It's because he did better against Floyd than he did Pacquiao. Much, much better.

    Duh.

When he was getting near retirement, around the Bradley fight there abouts, he didn't have any intererest in fighting Mayweather. We're talking about a 40 plus year old Marquez now that knew his limitations at his particular age.

Im a proud puerto rican but was never a fan of Cotto. This is just his opinion and hes entitled to it but he full of it. What hes saying makes no sense. A guy that gave you the second worst beating of your life in what was barely a competitive fight is clearly not as good as a guy who you fought pretty well against later in your career? gimmie a break! He can always say he thinks he won against flIVd but the outcome was decisive against pac and that eats away at him because he never got to avenge it like he did against margocheato.

Post fight Cotto said Pac was the greatest he ever fought. Now he's changed his tune, what happened?

IMO, When Roger & Floyd kept talking meth side this, PED that. it sounded ridiculous..BUT when Pac responded with scared of needles, against my religion, Cotto responded to those statements about a year or two later.. Cotto questioned if Pac was on PED, so he recanted. I think deep down he seriously questions if he got his butt whooped by a chemically induced fighter.

And I felt Cotto forced Floyd in the corner an awful lot. Cotto didn't get the speedy negrozales most get. He had him trapped an awful lot, yet he failed to hit him flush. He was in awe of that.

Whereas the first 3 rounds with Pac it was back n forth. Cotto was landing. Pac just stepped it up and punch, pummeled sticked and poked him like a voodoo doll from the 4th on.

Hatton said the same thing. I dont really understand the logic behind it tbh. Hatton was at least competetive (to a degree) against floyd in the early rounds. Pacquiao knocked him down twice and then sparked him out cold all inside two rounds.

Hatton was damaged goods by the time he fought Pacquiao, and he had camp issues with Floyd Sr. while he was training for Pacquiao.

I can see where Hatton would say Mayweather is the better fighter when Mayweather beat Hatton at his own game.
Mayweather, clinched and muscled Hatton on the inside. Wore him out, stunned him with a left hook, and pummeled Hatton out of there. A complete job from beginning to end.
Hatton saw and tasted everything Mayweather can do where as with Pacquiao, Hatton wasn't there both mentally or physically and got sparked clean out.

Just for the information to those who don't know any better, sparking a fighter out with a shot doesn't necessarily mean you're the better fighter, it just means you got hit with a good shot and went to sleep.

Again, what Hatton experienced against Mayweather was a thorough understanding of what it is to match skills with an all around great fighter.

Cotto will forever be Margarito's *****. Even against a blind Margarito, Cotto needed the ref to step up and halt the fight where it looked like Margarito was coming on and Cotto starting his wilt job again.

It's funny how the fighter who actually faced both guys gives his opinion, but the FANS (fanatics) know better.
