Canelo has fast hands. It's just he has slow feet to go with them, but he can unleash combos very quickly.

I'll grant you he's got some (SOME) speed. But he doesn't have the kind of speed that Miguel hasn't seen before (zab/pac/may).

His combination punching is fun to watch but it does take a vacation when his opponent gives him a little movement.

Cotto dances in the ring and has no problem moving if he feels crowded -- like the first 8 rounds of Margo 1 and 2. The difference being that Margo could cut off the ring better than Canelo plus Margo had a better gas tank which helped him keep the pressure up (something Canelo doesn't have).

This fight will be in the middle of the ring primarily with Cotto circling and sneaking out the backdoor to create distance when he feels threatened. doing that lateral movement half step he likes so well.

Canelo will plod after him with his concrete-feet rarely cornering him and once the kid's gas tank starts to deplete Cotto is going to start landing the harder more significant shots.

Hopefully Cotto. It would stamp his legacy as an ATG and clearly elevate him above Tito.

Really excited for this one. Could be one of the fights of the year.

Really for me it's a pick em fight. I just think that Canelo has too much for Cotto and will stop him late.

Really nothing would surprise me but think Canelo is too young, too fresh

How come Mayweather couldn't knock either of these two out if they are made of glass? :think

Mayweather has glass hands, he could have knocked them out if his hands didn't break. :nod

Will that be your excuse when Mayweather fails to ko glass chinned Berto or glass chinned Mayfield? :think

But even his glass hands must be stronger than Berto's glass jaw. Surely!

Cosign this statement, Canelo had comparable speed to Trout & Lara. He just needs to get his footwork up though in the long run.
Cotto will be a Tough Out for anyone he's a HOF fighter and an ATG PR fighter. Canelo's is probably at his athletic peak years, and is one fighter that imo show's growth in every progressing fight.
Both are proven warrior's a battle is to be expected, especially with the PR-MX rivalry.
Head to head Cotto is the more experienced fighter clearly, and with Roach he is punching fast an hard his LH's to the body and head are looking as good as ever now.
Canelo I think is better prepared for this since FM-CA fight, he's been in some more high profile fight's now. As a boxer Alvarez is severely underrated, right now he's a top 5/10 aggressive counter/puncher in the sports. I expect it to be a great matchup but I think Canelo ultimately takes it late.
