Sources have told me he will reunite with his uncle. They have also said he is itching to come back stronger then ever and vows to retuen to the top of the p4p rankings. He has said his main motivation is the death of his father and he admits the fame got to him a little. Also the day after his fathers funeral he ran 7 miles and shadow boxed in the middle of the night. I feel sorry for whomever he fights next.

Wow! I would like Cotto to comeback. A great fighter, and a good person. He should take one "easy" fight before going after a pfp fighter. He's gone through a lot.

Then perhaps he will quit hiding behinf Bob Arum and finally fight Paul, after being chased for two years. Then we can watch his overrated ass get pummeled (again).

Glad to hear that Cotto is channeling the loss of his father into his training. The tragic loss could have easily had a negative effect on his boxing career and it sounds like he's handling it well. I tend to think that he'll once again be a force to be reckoned with and I can't wait to see him in action.

    Cotto doesn't have many options:

    Martinez would embarrass him. Terribly.

Paul would have him searching for a place on the canvas to lay down.

Margarito would beat him like a pinata (again).

Shane would put him out of his misery (finally).

And he already knows to stay clear the **** away from Joshia Clottey.

Ay instead of wasting your time trying to hate on cotto, maybe start talking about how williams can try not to get socked up by sergio martinez or getting completely outboxed by the likes of quintana

Maybe if Williams can get through a rematch with Martinez without having his ass sent to the canvas he will be lucky and get one of the fights hes been searching for.

Joshua Clottey? lol... coulda shoulda woulda... couldnt beat a one eyed cotto, maybe he can solidify his position as the greatest 'could shoulda woulda' of this era by losing competetively, as is his only claims to fame, against pac.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------

As for the thread, well its good to hear this wasnt completely a self destructing moment for Cotto, he said this was going to be his last year and id like to see him retire on top fighting Foreman and maybe a rematch with Margarito. I would still like to see him go out though if hes able to this year....

Or maybe Mayweather will fight Paul, or Clottey will fight Paul or Mosley and Berto will fight Paul. Every welter besides Quintana and Margarito has avoided Paul Williams, why **** on Cotto for it? Still all emotionally butt hurt that he outpointed Clottey?

It's kool...you never know. Maybe the death of his father drove him bat **** crazy and gave him the courage to take on Paul for an exit fight...maybe not.

But I did join your Clottey train :good

    Mubaye Clottey!:bbb
