    Ange
Miguel Angel needs a better trainer, SAntiago knows nothing about coaching.

i dont care how the rest of his career (this year) turns out... he will always be one of my favorite fighters.

Whats crazy is.... he is the first fighter i have ever followed from prospect, to contender, to champion, to ex champ, and now on his comeback..... All my other fav fighters were already champions when i started following the sport (2001 with Feroz, then slowly 2002 starting liking boxing as a sport as a whole)

And then when i was 'new' to the sport, still in school and all, i won a contest on here where i got a video as a prize, full of fights.... and one of the fights on there was Cotto vs Bazan, and i would fall asleep at night watching the fights.... and i remember watching cotto bazan over and over and over, and so in a way, it will kind of be sad to see Miguel go.... But he will live on forever in the storied history of boxing and in fans hearts.

I think he is past his best, and has been so since the margarito fight, and in some aspects, the mosley fight, but hearing about him training all the next day after his dads death (rip) and shadowboxing through the night is inspiring, and i will be in his corner to finish his career with victories and show the world one more time who is Miguel Cotto!

    Amen to that!

    Great post :good

Im n a similar position to you i followed Ricky Hatton from 03 when he fought Ben Tackie, i know he was already a prospect by then but not world class, followed the guy ever since he actually got me in to boxing so ive followed his carrer through all the ups/downs and hatred and it will be sad to see him go too!

same here bro, he's my only fav.fighter that I have followed since his prospect/green days. mayweather is my fav fighter but I have never watched him @ 130/135. I have only downloaded them. ITt has been fun to watch Cotto become champion in front of my eyes.

Great post. Cotto has been inspiring to me - I was gutted at how he threw it away against Manny, but am in awe of the heart and grit he displays.
