This. Cotto can outbox broner. Broner is NO Floyd. Never will be, if cotto gave FLOYD problems what will he do to a very stylistically flawd Broner?! He gets hit plenty and doesn't seem to have KO power at 147 either

If cotto was motivated and performed the way he did against Floyd I think he would beat Broner. At the moment though cotto is done and would probably lose to broner if they fought in the future.

Cotto at pretty much at any time of his career would do some serious damage to Broner especially with hooks to the body..Also Broner would not be able to walk down Cotto down.. He would be on him the whole time till he KO's or Tko's Broner.. ...

Cotto lays a waste on broners body and takes him out late rounds.

I doubt Cotto can make 147 anymore, but when he could, Cotto by UD, 8-4 rounds. Question that I have about Broner is this, does he take so many shots because he is in there with opponents he feels can't hurt him? Like Rees and Malignaggi? Or is his defense simply not up to scratch? I feel it's the latter. I haven't ever seen great foot movement or any deal of head movement. Offensively he looks good, but relies on one punch too much. If Cotto was to tag that body as much as Paulie did I see an easy victory for Cotto. Plus, can Broner box on the backfoot? Cotto's ramrod left jab, constant menacing pressure and very high workrate are exactly what a fighter like Broner hates.

Cotto can't make 147 and if he did he would be drained. Broner wins.

Cotto moving down in weight would be enough to ruin him in this fight.

Right now it's a hard one because I think Cotto will not be motivated enough to drop down to 147 and if he does . I can't see him performing to his best potential . Miguel could prove me wrong though . Broner probably has a good chance of winning . 8 years ago this fight would be a repeat of Cotto/ Quintana .
