im not sure man, cotto looked beatable at times at 140, id fancy a prime hatton over him too at that weight
Cotto, all day, every day. Once Khan's early blitz concludes, Cotto's footwork and excellent timing mean he slowly breaks Khan down. Expect a mid-rounds KO from a body shot. Hatton would do better, but meet the same fate. I'd say a late stoppage or clear points win for Cotto.
Hatton comes through some rough moments to stifle and outworn Cotto with his ugly style at 140. Cotto stopsRicky within 8 at 147z Cotto breaks Khan down at 140, he was a beast there and would have little problems with Khan. Awful matchup for Amir.
I don't see how he can, mate. Cotto's jab alone would be giving Ricky serious problems. With a much better left hook to head and body, plus the ability to actually stay in position without clinching, I don't see what Ricky can do to come on.
I'd put Hatton to beat Cotto; Cotto was troubled many times at 140 and Hatton's relentless pressure would end up stopping Cotto IMHO.
I remember making a thread about a Hatton-Cotto fight, and the poll was pretty clearly in Cotto's favour. I myself think Cotto pulls off a close decision in a close, entertaining fight. Cotto's superior boxing skills, and jab would pay dividends for him. Hes more multi-dimensional than Hatton. http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=244965
cotto has always had problems with fighters who throw a lot of punches and keeps on throwing them. Cotto at 140 was a lot more vulnerable than he was at 147, and i think khan's speed and workrate would cause cotto fits at times, but you can never count cotto out because of khan's chin. would of been a great fight. Khan is the best boxer britain has right now.
