I'll disregard that you butchered ALfredo's name. Cotto-Angulo is a great fight and a TRUE litmus test for how much is left in Cotto's tank. You have to make Cotto the favorite, but given that Cotto has always been highly vunerable to right hands and given Angulo's power.... an upset isnt outta the question at all. I wouldnt be at all shocked if Angulo stopped Cotto late.

Chaves would be a better choice in a risk/reward sense. Angulo fights more like Margo and Chaves would bring more money.

You make it sound as if Angulo defeating Cottoe is an upset. Angulo beats the breaks off Cottoe. Angulo is stronger and more powerful than Margs and we all saw what happened in that fight. Arum better keep Cottoe far away from Angulo if he wants to keep milking money off the overrated one.

Awesome fight if it does happen. But, I don't know if Arum would throw Cotto in there with a tough roughed fighter like Angulo. Chavez vs. Cotto would sell like hot cakes.

Angulo is still young and improving while Cotto is on the downslide, still very good fighter. But I think it might be low reward/high risk for Cotto, even tho Angulo might be the better fighter at this point than Margarito, I'm not sure if Angulo has that fan base yet to get the legions of Mexican fans behind him. It would have a potential of another Mexico-PR clash. Of course if Angulo wins it would make him a star. But in boxing you never know. The unexpected happens and Cotto might be the one to really test Angulo's chin or body like no one before. I like both fighters and it would be a fan friendly fight that's for sure and probably potential foty.

say the same thing i said before the foreman fight: cotto by death. angulo is a fun, EXTREMELY limited fighter. cotto is elite and angulo is a very tough opponent for elite. unfortunately with no defense, no movement and no versatility he's nothing more than a heavy bag for cotto to build confidence on

    Angulo would hurt Cotto.

I was thinking the same thing also, but unlike Margarito, Angulo since his loss to Cintron, is not a slow starter anymore and yes, he did get outboxed by Cintron, but Angulo was getting to Cintron late in the fight, but it was way too late. If Angulo decides to cut the ring off instead of mimicking Margarito with that plodding, jogging style and force Miguel to fight at some point, it raises Angulo's chances greatly. I would rather want to see an Angulo-Cintron rematch to see where Angulo truly stands because to me it's seemed like he had improved.

Cintron beat Angulo with movement, lots of it. Cotto doesn't have the legs to do that, nor the size to intimidate Angulo. I could see Cotto out-smarting Angulo, who's limited: stalk, stalk, stalk. But I'd call this fight a toss up.

Angulo was sick as a dog (no pun intended) and didn't arrive into town until like the day of the weigh in. It was even talked about by the HBO commentators. Cintron caught Angulo at his worst and still ran for his life towards the later rounds.
