    Trout's jab is awful. If he stopped swatting with it, he'd stop Cotto getting in so clean whenever he chooses.

    Trout is trying to establish the jab early and being more aggressive, while Cotto looks loose and just waiting for an opening. Trout has that nice jab working. Cotto seems to be taking the round off. Troud round.

    Fight is pretty even. I'm giving Trout a slight edge but can't argue with anyone having it one way or the other. If the fight keeps going like this, that homefield advantage is going to be huge.

    Cotto is pressing forward and sweeping out with the left hook. Trout sticks the right jab to the body and slaps up top with a right hook while backing up. Cotto is now in the reverse role, stepping into Trout's counters. Trout backs up and makes Cotto miss a few uppers and overhands with slick yo-yo action along his spine. Cotto tags him with a right, however. Trout has his glove tape cut off by the ref. Time in. Cotto walks into a right hook counter. Straight left to the body by Trout, ducking a Cotto right hand. Right hook by Trout, glancing. Cotto swarms him into the ropes. Uppercuts and a left hook by Cotto.
