117-111 Trout easy. As someone said up there he basically swept from 7-12, plus the 1st two rounds were his. I'm fine if you have it a little closer but Trout clearly won.

 

I'm surprised IB had it 114-114... but I guess it was close and whatnot. Here's my card for ****s sake

No he doesn't. It's better that he loses at a weight he's comfortable at than sign a catchweight fight for the money and only that. Not only did he make the better decision, he also gave an up-comer a shot which is obviously better for the sport and us fans of the sport. Sadly, not a lot of Pacquiao fans follow the sport.

 

Age and brutal wars play a major role in any fighter's decline but this isn't a fight where he was smothered and brutally punished. It was a competitive fight where his opponent got the better of him. Credit needs to be given to Trout here rather than finding anything else to blame because the newspapers told you Cotto is a favorite to win. Cotto was exchanging and competing in there but his opponent's style and ability had him confused and desperate. If he was physically incapable because of the wars he wouldn't have lasted the full 12 taking some of those heavy counters and would have been stopped.

 

I probably only had Cotto winning 3 rds and im a huge Cotto fan. Cotto had moments in the rds but Trout was clearly dominating nearly every rd of the fight.

He wasn't getting the recognition because of his last fight, it really shows that your performance depends on the right dance partner. Respect to all of those calling a Trout win from the beginning.

 

Trout did good , humble guy and knows how to fight back. Props very sad for cotto but credit is needed for trout he deserves big pay days

 

Had stream trouble on/off first 6 rounds, then clearly saw last 6 rounds, and had Trout sweeping them, with only one of those rounds close. I knew Trout had mad boxing skills and great defense, but he showed more power tonight than I had seen before. Hard to know if Cotto really that far on the downside or if it was just Trout made him look that way, especially since Cotto was coming off a great performance against Mayweather in his last fight. Fair play to the judges, I was bracing for Cotto SD robbery win, but they did their jobs. I expect Cotto to fight again, in fact I bet Alvarez camp reaches out to Cotto and once again ignores Trout, it would be consistent with what they have done. As for Trout, the sky is the limit, but 154 really is only 6 or 7 big names deep, and if Alvarez not available, probably his best bet is a unification fight with Bundrage next time out.

Your card was only two rounds away from IB, in a fight that featured a lot of close rounds in the early going. I thought Trout won, but it's not like you and IB are that far apart, all things considered. If you score one round differently, and IB scores a round differently, then you both have the same score.

Or, you could take over, and we can replace you when you put out a scorecard that isn't popular...

 

Trout is lucky he didn't fight the Cotto from the Mayweather fight...the unshot Cotto . The Cotto was totally shot ...just like the one Pac fought.
