So I think we can all agree Miguel looked amazing out there against Martinez
But did that one showcase of ring generalship give us enough to go out on how well he'd do against B-hop at his best?

so just because cotto beat up a crippled 39 year old, now his next move would be to force another elderly statesman to fight a middleweight catchweight?:think

B-Hop that fought Trinidad in 2001 destroys Cotto within 2-3 rounds.

This current 49 year old B-Hop even when drained back down to 160 will be too much for Cotto still. Height advantage of 6'2, reach, experience, defense, craftiness.

People are forgetting that B-Hop was the last and true Undisputed Middleweight Champion of the World with all the belts. No BS diamond belt, no quillin or GGG belt holders etc....

Good opportunity for Cotto to get a big name win on his resume. I say, go for it. If Hopkins wants to stay in the game, then anyone can fight him.

Cotto is the weakest middleweight lineal champ since Bhop

However if he does fight the other healthy guys out there and he wins then we can Defo say he is legit

Right now I say he is legit but it isn't as clear cut bcus of martinez's injuries and shotness

Bernard said he would drained himself to fight Floyd for Millions which would be pretty stupid cause he would lose like Oscar to Pacquiao. He never said he would come down that much to fight whomever, namely Cotto. Cotto now is no better than Simon Brown of the day and Bernard had numbers out of this world with him, something like 60 plus percent connect rates until Brown gave up.

This would be a terrible fight for Coot and he should not ever entertain it.
Cotto isn't even a natural MW and has no chance to defeat a natural SMW/LHW with the master class boxing skills of a Bernard Hopkins.
