    "Miguel Cotto vs. Canelo Alvarez fight news 2015: Bout is on!

    The highly anticipated match between World Boxing Council (WBC) middleweight champion Miguel Cotto and Canelo "Saul" Alvarez will finally take place!

    The fight will happen on Nov. 21, 2015 at a venue yet to be named. News about the much-awaited showdown was bared by WBC via Golden Boy Promotions president Oscar Dela Hoya."

    I'll have to consult the wise men on this and watch some tape before I come to an "official" breakdown/prediction. Excellent fight, and glad it is taking place if true.

    My inclination says Canelo beats Cotto, but I'll have to review some fight footage before I can make an informed opinion about this.

    Oscar will agree to make it at 155, but he knows that Canelo can weigh 160 and still win the WBC belt.
    Imagine at the weighins, Oscar cuts Cotto a check for 500k and says....hasta la Vista baby

    as far as "hopefully the winner can take on ggg"

    listen...if cotto wins hes not going to fight ggg...at least i think its a very, very, long shot......if cotto even fights on after this....

    if canelo wins....yer prob looking at least a year before canelo would take that fight....so yer looking at november of 2016 at best probably....and there is no guarantee canelo would take it then......

    ggg cant sit and wait for this...he cant count on it....he has to make moves for himself now

    Canelo isn't fighting GGG if he beats Cotto. Dream on. GBP and the WBC will milk Canelo and let him face soft touches mando's and lesser fighters for atleast two years before they would agree to fight GGG.:deal The WBC wants nothing more than for Canelo to be their champion.
