Crawford is doing signs-of-the-cross and other patterns with his right glove, making Klimov watch the birdie and then landing sharp right jabs when Klimov moves, or breaks position with his own left jab, or does anything except stiffly hold out his guard.

He is pretty good, actually. Crawford is a budding elite and is completely disarming him.

 

Round 6

Klimov circles on the outside, holding up his left forearm to block. Crawford advances with the right jab, nothing but the right jab, scoring here and there but mostly hitting that rising and falling bar of Klimov's left arm. Cuffing right hook by Crawford, and Klimov is down, but more a push - ruled a slip.

Well yeah, fair enough, tonight he's a wet blanket. You can't judge a guy's talent by this kind of isolated performance where they're clearly outclassed and scared to engage, though. (heart maybe, but not talent)

Case in point - Omar Narvaez is a great champion. He moved up and fought like a ***** when he challenged Donaire. If you only ever saw that, you would think he sucks. He doesn't.
