    These guys are both fun to watch...

    Velez is younger, more powerful, and the more legitimate prospect.

    This is still a bit of a step up for him, though. (nevermind that Nguyen's record is less impressive on paper than Velez's previous opponent, Sal Sanchez II)

Nguyen is reaching with his left jab, stepping halfway in and pulling up short. Chopping right by Nguyen walking Velez to the ropes. Velez clinches and pushes off. They tie up again. Nguyen works the body. BIG 1-2 by Nguyen!! Velez is backed up, windmilling counters sloppily. Nguyen eats a flush left hook and doesn't stop. Right hand over the top by Nguyen, following with a stiff jab charging in. Velez circles away, jabbing and moving to his right. Nguyen rushes in and chops with a big right hand, ducked.

    Velez opens up with a big 1-2. Nguyen takes it and responds with a huge left hook. They are slinging bombs in there. Double jab, right hand by Velez. Nguyen slips a jab leaning to his left and whips in a quick overhand right between the eyes of Velez. Jab and chopping right by Nguyen, clinched. Velez tosses a 1-2 to the body and Nguyen dance away on his toes, arms held out straight. Velez is dropped with a minute left. He's up and Nguyen is there with blistering power volleys.
