I always thought that Tito's skills were quite overrated, and Cotto's quite underrated. If i could describe Tito's skills in one word I would say 'basic'. Im probably slightly biased towards Cotto though.

He had some skills man before he fell in love with his power. Cotto is more complete though.

A worthwhile response to a reasoned opinion. Congratulations

how about a good reason as to why you think Tito's skills were overrated?

I agree with that but i still pick Tito because of his power & ferocity as well as Cotto not-brilliant chin & the fact that Margarito beat him.

The Margarito fight is the biggest issue when predicting that Cotto would win. Im not saying Tito and Marg are the same type of fighter, but that Cotto didnt really go to the body against Marg.

Id say Cotto's chin is as good as Tito's. The only time ive seen Cotto hurt at welterweight (not including Marg and his (most likely) loaded gloves) was against Zab, and he landed ****ing huge uppercuts right on the button. Cotto didnt go down though

losing to two defensive experts is not overrated IMO and he looked terrible in the Winky fight in the very beginning. put Tito against any other slugger out there and Tito for sure will knock the hell out of em. and well, Cotto isn't necessarily a defensive expert......

Cotto's ten times as hittable as that DLH. Trinidad would do what Margo did to him only twice as fast
