Very true. Cotto wont be able to deal with all that power. Tito by ko somewhere around the 6 or 7 round.
Very true. Some people just overlooked at everything that Tito has done in his career. Losing to Hop is not a disgrace at all.
Prime Tito was a very good boxer who used his jab and right hand very well. He moved forward but it was always behind a good jab. It was latter on in his career that he started to rely on power olone. You need to go back and watch Tito fight in his prime again.
Tito gets off the canvas in rd 3 and RUINS Cotto...it would look very similar to the Vargas fight, only Vargas has more power than Cotto...Tito would get off to a slow start like he usually did at 147 and Cotto would pepper him for about 4 rds...but once Tito finds his rythym and the left starts landing, Cotto will take a beating leading to a 9th rd stoppage for Tito...if Cotto couldn't handle Margarito's pressure, how would he handle Tito's, who has more power AND boxes alot better than Margo?
I agree with this. Cotto is a very good fighter and can take a lot of punishment but still keep going. I see Tito winning via a stoppage in the mid rounds. I see KD's for both fighters. But....if Cotto can survive late into the fight, his body work might slow Tito down and Cotto could potentially get a close UD or SD.
Cotto is a very good fighter who may well improve in time. De La Hoya in his prime was a truly great fighter. Oscar was quicker than Cotto, he also had better movement and probably the slight edge on power. Oscar was also a lot more tactically astute than Cotto inside the ring. There isn't a lot of difference between the two, but Oscar was clearly the greater fighter.
Cotto wont be able to lauch those patented lefthooks to the body against tito.tito will KO cotto, its gonna be beating.
50/50 . . . but I'll favor Trinidad . . . because Trinidad has the footwork to stay away from Cotto's body punches and also has the power to stop Cotto dead on his track while coming in.
