Mayweather wins by decision but it will still be a very tough close(closer than the one at 154) fight.
Floyd, but it wouldnt have been easy And as we all know, a difficult fight for Floyd = "retirement" tam
Isn't it strange that he fought Cotto immediately after Cotto left Top Rank?, why wasn't retirement considered over Cotto then?
cause by that stage Cotto was extremely damaged goods and not a risk in the slightest for someone as talented as Chickinpuss
Boxing fans dont put that much stock into scorecards. They're important but judges very often get it wrong. You should know this. I had the fight 8-4, maybe 7-5. I think the commentators did a great job at skewing the public's vision of that fight. And it was much closer than the Canelo fight, even if the judges would tell you different.
After recently watching cotto v mosely when they fought in their primes I was thinking to myself imagine if either of these had fough mayweather in their primes and I was like damn they would have pushed him so close especially Cotto back then was a beast!!
And Cotto was still 140 . . . the same 140 were Uncle bob did not want to make the fight because "Cotto was not ready" . . . Cotto was never ready. Floyds body was starting to breakdown at that point so I say cotto might win a round more but Mayweather still wins it comfortably
Anyone who thinks these cards were a true reflection of the actual fight they need to watch it again. I'm a fan of both. I think they were even after 8 rounds, whilst floyd took all last four rounds. 116-112
