Clottey came out and said his hand was never hurt, that he was faking it? Why the hell would he fake an injury in that situation? Never once did I mention the severity of the injury. However, Clottey clearly suffered some sort of hand injury. And when the hell did he claim that he had a torn bicep during the Judah fight?

You make some very good points SCEO. Seems Clottey's biggest "win" right now is a loss to Margarito. That being said, I do think he's at least deserving of a shot at the top spot, or a top guy. All too often, guys get overlooked by top guys who are looking not for the not challenge, but the top money making opportunity. Or guys who are completely undeserving gewt a title shot based on politics or buildup.

Clottey would benefit from a major win, but like so many other fighters before, you can;'t win fights you don't get.

Okay, you do have a point there. But the guys that are on his level, I think he could beat them.

He told Jim Gray he broke both hands. He told Karyn Bryant he injured a knuckle on each hand. You do the math. There's a big difference between breaking a hand and injuring a knuckle.

Or hit the proverbial wall and decided to save face by exaggerating the extent of some discomfort in the hands and using that as crutch to fall back on. Which apparently has done the trick, seeing how many people are under the impression he would have won the fight "easily" had it not been for "breaking" his hands. When reallistically, Clottey doesn't have the punch output to beat a fighter who throws over a 100 punches per round and who he has very little chance knocking out.

This all goes back to the "fading" issue. Bottom line is this, Clottey is a muscular dude, and those types of builds usually result in stamina issues, or at least in Boxing.

In an interview after the fight was over.

I don't think anyone in boxing could pressure Cotto like Margo did in that fight. Margo was supperhuman in that fight with both iron chin and his work rate.....and loaded gloves:lol:

Oh come on now. He clearly suffered some injury in the 5th. He was shaking it a few times in that round and was telling his corner about his hand in between rounds many times. I think he said after the fight that he "thought" he broke some bone in his left hand. Of course at that point in time, he didn't know for sure.

OK, i can give you that maybe his willingness to dig deep down isn't as deep as others. Maybe other men could've hidden their pain a bit better. But to say that he grossly overexagerrated his injury just to save face is bullsh*t IMO. It affected him. The fight did change after that injury. I don't think Clottey would've "easily" won but i think he would've won without the injury.

As for the second part in red, i agree. Clottey is an incredibly muscular fighter and that can affect his stamina.

Then WTF are you even talking about? You say it's not Arums fault, saying WE ALL KNOW WHO'S FAULT IT IS....so who's fault is it he can't get the fights he wants? Uhm.. his own maybe?:patsch

You know its all about being a big draw & having a huge fan base. In Ghana, boxing isn't that popular.

Being a draw should have NOTHING to do with getting a big fight. NOTHING at all.
