Miguel Cotto vs Joshua Clottey: Who Takes This?

    It shouldn't, but thats how boxing is. Thats why you have guys like Ivan Calderon fighting 2nd on undercards.

    As mentioned in my previous post, there probably was some discomfort in Clottey's hands. But I find it hard to believe Clottey would have returned to the ring as quickly as he did if the "injuries" sustained in the Margarito fight were serious enough to lead him to believe that both hands were indeed broken. The first thing he said to Jim Gray after the fight was I broke my left hand in the 4th round and my right hand in the 5th. So essentially this cat was claiming to have fought rounds 6-12 with two broken hands. I find that hard to believe, and his comments prior to the Chico fight pretty much confirm my suspicions. It would have been one thing if he mistakingly noted he broke a single hand in the fight. But to say you broke both hands, when in reality, neither was broken, sounds like an attempt to save face to me.
