I think this woulda been a hell of fight to watch. Who do you guys think would win this fight if both were at their physical best at 147? Discuss.
I'm more inclined to pick Cotto based on him doing better work at 147 and being the bigger man, but I wouldn't be overly confident about it. Even though Chavez never did much above 140, keep in mind he was facing Pernell ****ing Whitaker at 145. I don't think Cotto does any better against Pea. And the Chavez who fought DLH at WW was 36 and way way past his best. The Chavez of the late 80s/early 90s might be able to beat Cotto, despite the size disadvantage.

I agree with this. He matches up nicely enough with Cotto that he could have overcome the size difference.
Cotto is good but he never could beat elite fighters like Chavez. He losses to all the elites and no very elite. He is good but he takes too many punches and gets cut up easily enough.
