I am fan a of Cintron's and think he is too big for Cotto. Cotto is small (height wise) for a welterweight. I feel the real big welters like Cintron, Margarito and Williams would give Cotto a lot of problems, he best avoid them.
Good post mate. THe only way I see Cintron winning this is by KO, which with Cotto's chin and Cintrons power is definitely a possibility. A very dangerous fight for Cotto.
cotto, with sustained pressure&body shots cotto would break him down in 9, would be a hell of a fight basically cotto-torres 2 but with more knockdowns
You keep saying that...but that's all your saying. All Cotto fans admit this is a bad match up for Cotto. Cintron is obviously an improved fighter since that night against Margo. Cintron had hand surgrey, a long layoff and a short camp for Margo. While Margo had a great camp. Cintron has a new trainer in Steward and now conducts world class training camps with world class sparring. Cintron has amazing power in his straight right and right uppercut, two punches Cotto does not defend well against. Cintron has the height, reach and length to get out of range on Cotto and drop bombs on that suspect defense. Something the 5'7 Judah could not do. Cintron is 5'11 with a 72" reach. Cotto is 5'6 with a 67" inch reach. Another thing turning south paw against cintron would only open him up for the right hand that much more imo. Now Relentless, can you please explain how Cotto would logisticly get past this stlylistic nightmare match up with such ease? Or are you just blowing smoke with your dismissive comments of Cintron?
i dont need to explain anything, let me just put it this way, anything margarito can do cotto can do better.
but if you really want an explenation i'll give you one.... cintron cant take pressure, everytime he is pressured he throws big shots without looking, he panicks, his inside fighting isn't great, cotto will be pressuring him all night long, nonstop body and face attack, cotto will not give kermee room to setup his big 1-2, it will probably go around 6 or 7 rounds and kermee will crumble and burst out in tears, again.
I absolutely hate this being used as a reason for one fighter beating another. It's a crock of **** that has little/no bearing on the outcome. I must have read it a few dozen times as to why Taylor was going to beat Pavlik. Please, no more!
