. Ive been going back and forth on this one.... Pretty pickem to me but if forced to pick ill take Tszyu.. HE was more experienced and although COtto was hitting harder at JW his seemed a little chinny.. .. Chances are that a peak Kostya finishes what Torres and Corley almost did (more TOrres).... THey meet at WW thouhgh and id bet big on Cotto to win... I think this would be a back and forth war, evenly matched and Kostya catches him in the mid late rounds and stops him.. 140 Cotto Tko 9 AT WW another very competetive fight , but this time it would be Cotto winning .. Mid to late rounds 147 Cotto ko 10
At 140 KT knocks out MC. Cotto's too chinny at '40 to stand up to KT power. Maybe he was a little weight drained, and the move to '47 helped him; however, since I never saw KT at '47 I can't offer an opinion. What I can say is that MC's punch resistance was a lot better so it would have been an interesting fight.
As soon as you said Cotto hits harder than a prime KT at 140, I stopped reading and so did everyone else who ever saw them both fight.
Cotto was a monster at 140, would pose problems for Tszyu with his pressure style. But he was also a bit chinny, and I think Tszyu would eventually stop him.
Early going would b close. No doubt in my mind kt would eventually punish cotto. I agree with globenerd except for his theory on p4p standings.
