Miguel at this point was probably close to his peak, and was a tremendous bodypuncher. Kostya had lost against Vince Phillips but beat a faded Chavez and a prime Gonzalez. Kostya's right hand at this point was probably one of boxing best weapons, while Miguel was a murderous bodypuncher and underrated technician. How do you see this fight?
Cotto was a little unsteady at 140 and against a killer like Tzsyu it would cost him,KT by KO in the seventh.
Getting rocked by Corley and pushed to the limit by a wild Ricardo Torres equates to Tszyu putting Miguel's lights out. Tszyu's right hand was a laser and Cotto's D has always been leaky.
I agree. At 140, Cotto, had some close moments that almost didnt go his way. Tszyu, would have stretched Cotto out on his back and the Cotto we know today, probably wouldn't have existed.
Kostya would knock him out something fierce. I've got nothing but respect for Cotto, and he was a punisher himself at 140, but Tszyu is all wrong for him.
Tyszu would blast him out in 6 or seven rounds it depends on how fast cotto presses him. cotto stays in range and catches a right hand on the chin
Plus Cotto has a penchant for "trying" to fight out of a southpaw stance every once and a while. He never looks good doing it but sure as **** wouldn't want to against Kostya or he'd get Mitchell'd quick
