I really like Cotto, but Kostyas punching is too well timed for him. An 8-4 pts win. Cotto is a mean mauler, but I fail to see how he could win prime for prime. However, do we even know if Cotto is prime? Nothing he does withers with age.

This match up gives me a headache, it evens out a fraction at 147. I feel Cotto maybe has more flexibility to adapt to a poor stylistic match up, where to a certain extent as Tszyu will fight his fight regardless. Im thinking Cotto cant avoid Tszyu's accumulated power barrage and fall victim to KO in the later rounds. Tszyu would be a tougher fight for Cotto than Floyd IMO.

Tszyu is one of the worst style match ups for Cotto, i totally agree. However, in hindsight so was Mosley, and look at how Cotto adapted there. Good post though, particularly your analysis on Floyd.

Cottos chin is vary shaky at 140. Tszyu would have ko'ed him inside 10.

at junior welter? zoo can knock out cotto if he can land a perfectly timed, solid right hand punch on cotto's chin that could send him to the canvass. cotto's chin at junior welter is unstable. so i'm gonna go on a limb here to say zoo 7th round ko..

He is 27 years old and likes to brawl. Not only we can say that he is in his prime, but also that he has 6 more years left in boxing before he becomes past his prime -unless he is a rare exception.
