So it is official that former junior welterweight and welterweight champion Miguel Cotto will, in his comeback fight, attempt to regain a welterweight title against Michael Jennings. It will be for the WBO Welterweight Title which was recently vacated by the now WBO Interim Junior Middleweight Champion Paul Williams. So who will emerged victorious and what will be the outcome?

For Cotto, a title is not only at stake as there is a huge money rematch against Antonio Margarito scheduled for June 2009. If Margarito wins and Cotto wins as expected, the rematch would be for a unification of the WBA and WBO welterweight championships.

If Cotto doesn't win, he should retire. He should postpone the Margo fight if he doesn't win in dominating fashion.

I laugh when people write off a champion thats gets defeated for the 1st time. History shows many champions have 1 or more losses throughout their careers, doesn't mean squat when evaluating them as fighters. Cotto will roar through Jennings & the loss to Marg will only make him smarter & more determined.

Hes all over you tube. hes a good regional type fighter. Hes from the UK, but you wont see the Brits over here hugging his balls. They only pipe up when their top fighters meet american fighters.

Cotto will stop this guy as soon as he times him and gets the shot thru..id say around rd 5.

Jennings is a good fighter. If you haven't heard of him, you should have. He isn't a world beater, but he's a solid, entertaining fighter. Much better than Gary Lockett and it's guarenteed he'll bring a fight.

On a side note, he's probably one of the nicest guys you'll meet in boxing. An absolute top man. I hope he can make some good money one day.
