Man Please... GTFOH with that bull****!:fire:fire:fire

Cotto ass would be searching for a place on the canvas to lie down by the 9th round. You talking bout a dude that eats uppercuts like a blind man. And who gets tired. You thought Margo brought pressure? PW is just as, if not more conditioned than Margo.

It would be competitive in the early rounds,But Williams height advantage and his workrate will frustrate the hell out of Cotto...The Punisher wins wide 117-110/118-110 or possible late stoppage

    Choosing with my heart again...
I gt Cotto by UD (provided he gets a better corner!).
I just think he has the tools to outbox PW, alota ppl imo are forgetting jus how good a boxer Cotto is. I dnt think Paul keeps him out consistently for the 12 rounds, eventually Cotto will land a few on Paul.

Also saying pre Margo Cotto would be obliterated by PW is jus plain down hating imo.

Really, what does Cotto have that can bother PW? His power is overrated at 147. He is shot mentally and probably physically. He won't be able to get inside PW's given the huge disparity in height and reach, not to mention power. When PW sits down on his punches, he's got pop. And Cotto is easy to hit.

One sided affair IMO. A mismatch.

williams would win. you are right about that. and you are also right to point out the disparity in height and reach. but pw is notorious for not using his god given advantages in the ring. yes he uses his god given stamina and he overwhelms his opponents with workrate...but does not and i repeat DOES NOT use his height, reach and wingspan the way he should. he should be laying people out and not get a glove laid on him in the process...but this is not the case. people who have no business landing on someone so big and athletic still do land on him. margo was finding him.

but having said that he would most cetaintly overwhelm cotto. cotto has a solid jab and would land it...somehow...but he would. if margo can slip the jab so can cotto. paul has also been vulnerable to the body and cotto can go to the body.

but you are 100% right this would end with paul overwhelming him.

TOO many overconfident ppl in here IMO. 2 words 4 u guys: QUINTANA, MARTINEZ. I've always said it & "walk with me" knows it: PW will get beaten, AGAIN, is juat a question of time. CQ laid a perfect & clear blueprint on how to do it... and then along came a guy named Martinez!:yep Make no mistake, Cotto IS STILL an absolutely superior fighter than Quintana AND will give PW all kinds of trouble.. PW is a bit overrated in here... go ask "Walk With ME".:hey BTW, not to mention that 147 is probably a bit too much to ask regardless of whatever PW says, if not then why ask Martinez to go up to 160 for their fight?? Martinez is a LMW (154). They could've easily done it @ 154...

Cotto's not worthy to hold Williams spit bucket, let alone fight him.

Are you that stupid to think that we are talking about the same Williams that foguht Quintana the first fight? Or are you talking about the Williams that blasted him out in the second fight? And if you think Cotto at 147 is even in the same Area code as martinez at 159, then that says a lot about "overrated"

He will give him trouble in the beginning, but nothing that he hasn't seen. His style is completely wrong for Cotto. He has an excellent chin. He will keep moving forward and pressing the action, even after he gets blasted with bombs... and he doesn't tire. Sounds like someone else who beat the **** out of Cotto, except PW has a little more speed, and a lot better movement and offense.

Plus, Cotto eats uppercuts. All day. Recipe for disaster against a taller inside fighter with decent power.

This is a misconception of many people. First of all, Martinez was actually going to move up to 160 anyway to challenge Pavlik (Fact). And Paul had been training to gain weight up to 160, which he actually has to change his diet and work really hard at doing (He only weighed in at 157 for the martinez fight). It's not as simple as just saying "keep it down to 154" if you have spent months in high-intesity training along with a high-calorie diet designed to help you gai weight without losing speed and stamina.

It made sense for both guys, and neither of them had to ask the other to move up. They both agreed without any hesitation. It was never a case of PW's team asking Sergio to move up.

But don't worry, they will eventually meet at 154 if Cotto is still game. Paul has been begging to stomp that dude for three years now. And when he gets his chance... He will put him out of his misery... Finally.

In fact, if you want to see what the fight would be like.. Just look at Hearns-Duran.

not saying PW is a Tommy hearns, but Cotto ain't no Duran either.
