Cotto by TKO10. Cotto didn't really lose any shoot outs and I can't see a scenario for Cuevas winning outside of clipping Cotto, and I wouldn't bet money on that happening. I see Cotto outboxing and brutalizing him into submission
Pipino Cuevas was a destroyer. He broke bones on a regular basis. With the way Cotto fights he would have to walk a tightrope to avoid Cuevas power. Pipino had an outstanding chin. Over 15 rounds I think it's a tough ask for Miguel Cotto. I'd predict a stoppage for Cuevas around 9th or 10th round.
Cotto was a tough MF. But he never faced anyone with the destructive firepower of prime Cuevas (No, not even Randall Bailey) Cuevas will force a fight, which Cotto would gladly oblige. A mistake... Cotto would definitely be in the fight until suddenly he wouldn't be. Cuevas eventually lands the shot that ends the fight for him with in10-11 rds.
