    There has actually never been a famous toreador from the island (just one born there, and he was half-Mexican and half-French: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ernesto_Pastor) and the sport never took hold there beyond the initial period of Spanish colonization in the 19th century, and then only in major cities and usually involving third-rate Spaniards that weren't good enough to cut it at home.

    On paper Mayqeather-Pacquiao regardless how it turned out that was the most anticipated matchup in years, this one is the second and will more than likely live up to the hype.
