I think Kirkland v Margarito is a much better fight.

That's why I'd liked to see it. Have a great dislike for Kirkland.

If Canelo beats Cotto then BOOM he's sellable as an opponent for Floyd (and if he can beat Miguel then I'd consider him a genuine challenge to Mayweather)

As it stands, Cotto will beat Canelo handily at this stage. Canelo Vs Kirkland works for me, as I can't see them putting Alvarez in with Molina.

The HBO team were talking about the up and coming K9 v Spinks fight so I think the winner might be in Canelo's future. I'm sure whoever wins would jump at the chance but they won't be ready for Sept 15.
How about the winner of Trout v Rodriguez? Would love to see Delvin take him on at the PPV.

Trout looks a decent up-and-comer, would be an interesting challenge for Canelo.

I just wanna' see him in with genuine contenders, not past it guys, blown up Welters, or Matthew Hatton. Kirkland, Angulo, Molina, Trout, Rodriguez, Spinks, Bundrage, Williams, Lara, there's no reason for anymore uninspiring matchups with this kid.

I'd go with Cotto late stoppage or points.

Cotto is simply too well schooled for Canelo at this point in his career, Golden Boy won't risk it IMO.

Cotto should have the beating of Canelo now,I think Canelo is still a work in progress and is being pushed a bit to fast, a past it Mosley showed very briefly that a slick skillful boxer would give the ginger one a lot to think about,a Mosley of 50 years ago would have boxed to a comfortable UD .
Keep him away from Mayweather for now.......

Would be a great fight winnable for either guy. I would make Cotto the favourite but Canelo is really improving with every fight. Put it this way I would pay to watch it. The best of Puerto Rico and Mexico.

Real hard to call I think but lean just towards a Cotto victory.

Cotto to take it by about 8 rounds to 4, can see Alvarez being competitive throughout but being just that bit too raw still if it was to happen in the next 6 months.

    Too fast? Really?

And Mosley, before he was born, would have beaten Alvarez?
