Cotto has been showing the ability to land huge shots under Roach, not only that but the shots appear to be as big or bigger than ever have been, and he is throwing more of them. When I consider that Cotto's boxing is a better than Canelo's I believe that is what makes the difference in this fight. Could be wrong though, Canelo is young, strong, has good boxing ability, and defense. That's what makes this fight a great one!!

    Canelo decisive UD

Would be a tad bit surprised if Cotto wins.

Two overrated hypejobs  this guy's no worse than boxing_disaster.

Yes Mayweather schooled Canelo due to his weird strategy but I don't think Canelo ever troubles Floyd unlike Pacman who literally had a suicidal approach. Cotto was competitive, he lost 8-4 but he made him work and have to exchange shots. So I don't see how that's a schooling.

As for the fight, superb fight, A+ but come on, it still disappoints me greatly Cotto is such a diva getting the belt off a hapless Martinez at a catchweight and defending it at less than its rightful weight. I hope Golovkin comes and fights for it and takes it back up to its rightful weight.

Well I guess that makes Mayweather's win over them worthless then.

I like Cotto in this fight. I think he's the more well schooled of the two, and his mobility will cause Canelo problems.

Cotto got this. He will have beaten both sergio and canelo to shut those who said he was the weakest link of the 3. Then rematch with floyd or get beaten in a great effort vs ggg and retire. It is destiny

The difference in this fight will be Cotto's footwork. If this comes to a boxing match, I can see Cotto fighting on the backfoot and Alvarez chasing, but having trouble cutting off the ring.

I agree. Cotto's footwork and Alvarez's lack thereof will be the primary factors. I see Cotto walking Alvarez into punches all night long.
