I want to see this fight. It would without doubt be a *******. I really think Cotto has a shot. Theres not much at 160 for Martinez so he could come to 154 for now and have a one off Big Fight with Cotto to improve his name and star power. I would say that Cotto wins. He would track Sergio down and stop him while behind on the cards.

Taking rounds off against Cotto won't cut it, taking breathers against a lethal body puncher like Cotto won't cut it.

I know Maravilla is ridiculously hyped on here.

    Cotto by late TKO.

Martinez late knock-out. Southpaw and speed is all wrong for Cotto.

Why you say that? Because of the Pac fight. Martinez is very different. Hes alot more defensive and his workrate is generally alot lower than Pacs.

Martinez will keep distance and use his superior reach and handspeed to trouble Cotto. Unless Martinez gets old over night, he'll win confortably.

Martinez is NO Yuri Foreman BTW.

Martinez' counter right hook would terrorize Cotto. It would completely nullify Cotto's jab which is the basis of his attack. As a Cotto fan I wouldn't advocate this fight. As a boxing fan I say let's get it on.

Martinez is absolutely all wrong for Cotto.

I can't believe people actually think Cotto has a chance in this one. Martinez would catch Cotto with those counter right hooks all day. He has the reach and height advantage, he has better one-punch power, one-punch handspeed, and a better chin. What advantages does Cotto have?

Oh I forgot... He can bring down King Kong with a body punch. He beats Yuri Foreman and all of a sudden can whip the MW and JMW champ who just wiped out Kelly Pavlik?!?!?

Martinez KO8 - After winning 6 of the previous 7 Rounds easily.

I like both equally. So no bias here. But I say Martinez beats Cotto in a competitive UD. I see Cotto knocking down Martinez somewhere in the fight, but Martinez is too good a boxer and has too much heart to lose here. So despite a Cotto kd, Martinez will win more rounds than Cotto and onto a UD win.
