I gotta go with Shane Mosley. I think he figured something out about Cotto in the last 4 rounds and thats why he was/is dying for a rematch

I would make Miguel Cotto the favourite based on each fighters recent performances.

Shane Mosley looked really old against Mayorga, and seemed to be feeling the pace in his first meeting Cotto. Mosley has only advanced in age since then.

It's difficult to predict whether or not Cotto will be the same fighter after the beating he took against Margarito, but he holds some significant advantages over Mosley at 147. He seems to have faster hands at this stage, and wheras Cotto is still a relatively young man, Mosley's age showed in the Mayorga fight.

I would think a UD12 for Miguel Cotto.

There was no real evidence in the Mayorga fight to suggest Mosley could outbox Miguel Cotto second time round.

Mosley was getting outboxed by a shot Mayorga at times and Cotto looked sharper than ever for most of the Margo fight. Cotto UD.

I can respect that too. Good post. But could there have been a possibility that Shane was ring rusted against Mayo?

Sure. The Judah fight not coming off when it should have did more harm than good for Shane.

His timing was all off against Mayorga, but even if you consider ring rust to be a factor, Shane made hard work against a shot fighter who wasn't terribly impressive in his prime. I'll be watching Shane's next fight with intrigue, but there is no evidence to suggest he would fair better in a rematch with Cotto. He has only gotten older, been less active, and has fought lesser competition.

Thats true too. I wish this fight could've happened immediately after the first one! But he did look bad against Mayo. Do you think fighting at 154 had anything to do with how he looked against Mayo?

I doubt it. I'm still on sense that no one will stop Shane
