Cotto's supposed to be an aggresive fighter who goes for the knockout late. But he was running away from Mosley in the last couple of round's especially the 12th. It was nice to see his boxing skills in the mid rounds but in the 12th round if you're an agressive fighter with supposed "great power", shouldn't you try to knock out an aging fighter? I personally scored the fight a draw.

Valid points. Cotto was probably assuming he had the fight won in addition to having that cut inside his mouth so he decided to box. I thought when they switched styles from the ninth round and on with Cotto boxing and counter punching and Shane aggressively coming forward that Cotto was more successful than Shane. Cotto hadn't really hurt Shane the whole fight so trying to get the knockout in the last round wouldn't have made sense plus it may have allowed Shane the opportunity to catch Cotto with a big shot.

The biggest fight of his life, against a very dangerous guy with tremendous speed and power why take risks when the fight was in the bag?

The one who win more respect in this fight: Mosley.

it was a close fight, but it wasn't an impressive performance by Cotto. I don't know where the writers get off on saying that. "A star is born" and all that stupid jazz. That fight left me with a bitter taste.

Nice, 7-5 Cotto, for me. Apparently, you can't please all of the people all of the time...I thought Cotto (and Mosley's) performance was excellent.

    Same

I was impressed by both. They both made adjustments and both were at the top of their game.

    A true world class fight

I think the draw has officially been phased out of boxing for promotional reasons - prime example

i am a huge mosely fan watched it live thought mosely won... but watched on t.v. tried not be biases an could have seen it gone either way but i scored a draw cause i gave the last rd to mosely....read in interview mosely was upset because he was trying to close an for some reason the ring was like a slippery wet slide that can affect a person speed when closing in...

Actually the Cotto's 'running' is the most overatted part of the fight on this forum, people try to discredit him by saying that he ran the last 4 rounds ala DLH. When Cotto clearly won rounds 9 and 11

Cotto has already failed to fulfill his potential.
