I think the Meldrick Taylor fight was made at 150, and Norris looked like a killer in that fight

No, Norris could make 150 just fine. Cotto has ZERO chance in this fight.

Margo? LMAO! That cheating **** is waayyyy too slow to have competed with Norris. Terry woulda stopped Margarito even WITH his illegal wraps.

At 147 the Taylor that beat Aaron Davis would win a wide UD over Cotto.

At 140... its a mismatch. Mel would have stopped him.

Even though Taylor was still a good fighter when he moved up and beat Davis,He was already damaged goods. Hed get an early lead over Cotto, put cotto would wear down the shopworn Taylor and either get a late stoppage or very close decision,Taylor at jw (pre-chavez) would have comfortably decisioned Cotto.

If Norris was at his best.. he wouldnt have to worry about his chin. Marg would never find him. Waaayyy too slow.

It took Cotto 11 rounds of sustained punishment to stop glass chinned Zab, theres no way I see him stopping that version of Taylor. And if Miguel cant stop him, he wouldnt win.. he couldnt outwork Taylor, and he sure as HELL couldnt outbox him.

Meldrick Taylor was plain and simple a better fighter than Cotto. Miguel isnt good enough to compete in other eras. In fact, Buddy McGirt woulda beat Cotto.

I think at welter Mcgirt would have decisioned Cotto 115-112. I just think cotto is strong as a bull and an underrated boxer. Taylor didnt exactly have a good chin after Chavez. He got all he could handle from glenwood brown,Luis Garcia at welter before being knocked out by Espana. Taylor was a great fighter at jw and id pick him over almost anyone at Jw but he wasnt the same at welter.

Norris was fast, and he was too strong for any 147 pound fighter. Look what he did to Meldrick. Although Simon Brown did beat him. But Cotto is too small for a guy like Terry Norris, who was a good fighter.
