This is ******ed, Cotto gets ****ed up and then gets a title shot? Why not make a fight with Paul Williams or Sergio Martinez, Bob? That's right you want to run the **** out of your cash cows.

Don't get me wrong, Boo. I'm not worried because I think Foreman is some kind of a beast or anything. I'm worried because Cotto has taken tremendous punishment in three of his last four, is coming off a loss where he looked like a truck hit him and now his loving promoter wants to shove him in front of a title holder in a new weight class?

If it turned out to be as you say, an only slightly more competitive and longer Jennings, nobody would be happier for Cotto than me (save for most of Puerto Rico), but I don't know if he'd have enough in the tank for a top guy at welterweight right now, let alone light middleweight. He can certainly get in shape and be a natural weight for 154 but can he take the damage?

Even if Foreman is far from likely to be the next great light middleweight, Cotto will probably find a way to get into some drama with him, like he does. Cotto attracts drama and blood like a magnet. Foreman probably wouldn't hurt Cotto in terms of making him glass-eyed, but he could still make him cut and swell. And it's another 5'11 guy (making me think of Margo). Cotto's skin for any fight now might be similar to Juan Diaz's. So, that's why I'd be worried. It's not really about what Foreman's got so much as what Cotto may not have anymore. And all in an unproven weight class for him.

Just what boxing fans were clamoring for, more Yuri Foreman. Not a bad fight for Cotto if he is planning on moving up. Foreman is a solid but nothing special type of fighter and Cotto should be able to cut the ring off and get to Yuri enough to win a decision. I don't know how exciting this fight will be but atleast Cotto will have a belt and some clout if he intends to fight at 154.

Yuri sucks. One way or another he is not holding on to his belt much longer.

This fight is ass, how do you justify giving a guy who got demolished an immediate title shot? Set up a unification match with Sergio Martinez or have him fight the best Super Welterweight in Paul Williams.
