I like Cotto, but he is basically a class below Mayweather and Pacquiao, and a class above a Guerrero or Rios, yet he makes seems very difficult to please or even admit defeat. He got a good win over Martinez, but it was an old Martinez clearly not at his best. Still, a good win. But now, he seems reluctant to fight Canelo. I used to like him because he seemed really humble and likeable, but the more I've seen him over the years he seems a bit arrogant. I'm expecting a lot of hate for this post, so bring on the troll posts.

I don't see how he is a diva. He has taken on tough challenges so I can see why he would be considered a warrior.

I would say warrior and business man. I don't think he is or was reluctant to fight Canelo. I think he was waiting for the outcome between Floyd and Pac. A fight with Floyd or Pac would have earn him more money.

Used to be more of a warrior but more and more he's morphing into a Total Diva

I always wonder about people who talk about themselves in the third person.

I just think hes crying robbery after the Mayweather and Trout fights and abruptly leaving the ring, calling Martinez the B side, talking about himself in the third. all of it just doesnt sit well with me as a fan of Cotto the fighter

Exactly, plus at this stage he has nothing to prove. People don't seem to care too much that Froch has been behaving in a similar way recently.

On the other hand, Cotto has earned the right to be a diva, Alvarez hasn't. I have more of a problem with Alvarez's attitude than Cotto's. Alvarez comes across to me as feeling like he is entiltled. I suspect at least some of Cotto's actions in dealing with Canelo is a result of Canelo's attitude.

He's an emotional rollercoaster who's always been on the fringe of greatness and then has fallen short due to many different variables. I've always thought he could have been more yet he's always had some physical challenges that are hard to overcome when facing the best of the best, skill wise he's well rounded with a heart of gold mixed in with wisdom and experience though again his inability to put it all together vs Margo 1st fight Floyd, Pac and Trout caused major setbacks in his career. At this point in his career its only natural to be a bit more selective though you can't blame the public for thinking your "difficult" when it seems like there's nothing but pure opportunity being placed on your plate and you remain silent and static.

I'd lean towards warrior, the guys never been in a dull fight and always brings it.....there's a reason why Uncle Roger and Floyd have both stated he's the most skilled guy they have ever faced in the ring.

Froch has always come across as arrogant, but he has been consistent his whole career imo so in a sense his head never really got bigg(er)

He went from Warrior to Worrier so that makes him a Diva.

I can understand why some people might not like that but I personally just see it as some people are emotional. Many athletes have incredibly competitive personalities so I understand how they can get a little upset or heated in the moment with adrenaline still flowing. Also boxers often think they won when they didn't or they could beat someone who they actually couldn't, seems normal to me. people are often naturally biased toward themselves.

That was fair imo. Martinez needed the fight more than him and I think he had said some not so nice things about Miguel in the past.

Yeah I'm not sure what to make of that. I think it's a bit weird but I don't think it necessarily means someone is arrogant or a diva or whatever. He could be but these small little things are not enough to make me think he is.
