He is a strange cat no doubt about it, I've met him twice and on both occassions he's been a perfect gentlemen....then agian I might have met him on the days he decided not to release his alter ego.

Started as a warrior, ending his career like a beeatch.

I completely agree with that but my point was more to do with the opponent selection. It seems to me people say Froch has earned the right to fight who he wants etc because he has fought the best and nobody really complains about his desire to fight Chavez Jr instead of DeGale etc. I think Miguel has earned that right just as much as Froch because he has also fought the best but people complain much more about his (or his promoter's) rumoured desire to fight Bradley instead of Canelo or GGG.

He comes across as a diva, he acts as if he's this elite fighter but since 2007 everytime he steps up in competition he loses.

Like Broner, they think they are entitled top acting like divas but really they aren't that good.

    Intresting perspective and justification.....

Seems like an extreme view of the fighter in some ways you can say the same about Oscar yet I'm positive you'd say ODLH is a "Warrior"

Also how the hell do you mention Broner and Cotto in the same breath? This dosent help you arguement one bit. Your thoughts on Cotto seem less than objective.

both, he is a tough fighter and at times can be a class act, at others he can be a sore loser and a pompous, arrogant diva. ever since the mayweather fight his doucheyness has gone up a notch.

Well... we have to remember... Martinez didn't come limping to the ring, he came out walking by himself and walked out by himself, he wasn't stretchered out. He walked just fine to the presser......

If anyone had more damage on their odomoter going into that fight it was Cotto after Brutal beating from Pacquiao and Margarito.

Regarding Cotto speaking of himself in third person.... I don't like it, it's annoying and yes he things very highly of himself...

I just try to seperate the person from their boxing skills. Like Mayweather, as a person he may have aspects I do not like but as a boxer he is p4p the best right now.

In terms of the delays for the Cotto vs. Canelo fight.

Canelo needs to just relax a bit, they are waiting for the Pac vs. Mayweather fight to happen if it happens, then they move the PPV for June 16th.

    That is the big delay....

DLH just posted a twitter rant about the issue but let's be honest...

When DLH fought Mayweather, DLH picked the gloves, ring, date, weight, purse, and all.....

So he isn't the easiest one to work with when it was him doing his own negotiations.

This is what happens when you become your own Boss, you are hands on and it's what Pacquiao should already be doing at this stage of his career.

Sadly only two fighters are doing it right now.... Mayweather and Cotto.... both are very involved in negotiations, therefore both are very difficult to get them to sign the dotten line until they have squezed all they can out of the negotiations.

any video or interview of the diva allegations. I saw this guy on 24/7 and unless he was chatting with his kids he seemed determined almost stoic. Proof of diva accusation is required.

leave out fight negotiations he has probably been screwed by arum so he has to be tough with criminals. that dont qualify as being diva

"aren't that good"...not even Floyd or Pac would agree with that. The best were not able to make an easy fight out of Cotto so "aren't that good" makes no sense.
