Slightly of topic, but Who feels that Cotto would cause more problem for Floyd than Margarito??

BTW Floyd schools them both IMO.

I do, and more problems than pacquaio for floyd as well. Mayweather does not school cotto IMO, he wins but tight

I think Floyd schools Margo to a UD, but stops Cotto - who has a beard comparable to Hatton, perhaps slightly inferior but with better defence.

Cotto wouldn't have been rocked by Collazo's punches @ 147.

Wow, a lot of people are talking as if Cotto is at Hatton's level in the welterweight division... to me honestly, Cotto is the guy with the best shot at upsetting Mayweather at welter.

No, but Cotto wouldn't have turned up out of shape and punched himself out.

If the Hatton that fought Mayweather fought Collazo it would have been much wider on the cards.

Cotto can't beat Floyd - Too fast and skilled
Cotto can't beat Margarito - He will wear him down every time
Cotto can't beat PW - He would get smothered and blasted in 5
Cotto can't beat Clottey - Too solid, too defensive, and would catch Cotto
Cotto will destroy Pac at 140
Cotto will destroy Hatton at 140

Well I've always said Cotto has the power and the body punching to beat Floyd. I still think he can do it even though he lost to Margarito.

Cotto lacks the defense to beat Mayweather. And he cuts easy on his chin/mouth area.

Cotto has a very underrated jab that Floyd will respect no doubt if they ever fought.

Jab or not, Cotto would throw a jab whens he's hit with uppercuts he doesn't see.

Cotto is prone to them and Mayweather has a perfect uppercut when he wants to throw it. He will have the opening at will.

Look at when Mayweather fought Chavez the last uppercut prone guy. Chavez was just tore up by them and Cotto cuts very easy in his mouth.

I definitely am still on the bandwagon. He lost a tough fight but Cotto is still a complete fighter and once of my favorites. I would also pick Mayweather but it would be a hell of a fight

The only uppercut May will be throwing is the right uppercut since he shoulder rolls. Cotto is smarter than that and will not get hit with the same punch. He will turn southpaw often and hit Floyd with a straight left to keep him off balance. He will get to his body and will tap it and over and over again.

It wouldn't matter. Cotto comes forward when he punches thus leaving holes.

When Cotto is countering, he plants his feet and moves forward, he doesn't throw off the backfoot like Mayweather. He would be killed by uppercuts he doesn't see.
