felix trinidad is the golden boy of latino fighters. he has the most loyal fans in boxing even today. he can retire again and make another comeback 2 years later and still sell out the arena. i think its fair to say that miguel cotto will never reach the status of trinidad although he is a good fighter (until mayweather exposes him).

he is a good fighter until mayweather exposes him??

that doesn't even make sense, so everyone that floyd beat is exposed?

i hope you know you are discrediting floyd?

Well Tito is a multiple world champ and the darling or peuto rico, cotto may be come that if he disposes of mayweather and unifies the welter division.

I dont think floyd will expose cotto - but i personally believe he should win the fight at least 8 out of 10 times. Which still by default gives Cotto a chance to upset.

personally I think at 147 you can't even compare Cotto and Trinidad. They're is a CLEAR margin of skill difference between the two.

he is a good fighter but only because he is fighting C-class fighters. judah is not a A-class fighter and he beat a old mosley. the rest of his opponents are scrubs.

compare trinidad's opponents list to cotto's....

Yes, as he has the skills to do it. But he doesn't quite have the power Trinidad did.

I'll make it short . . . Tito is HISTORY and Cotto is the "real deal" at present . . . and he has a chance to make it bigger. :yep

but lets not forget that during his first five years of being champion, tito only fought TWO real top fighters.........them being oba carr and yori boy campas.

cottos comp has been better since he became champ imo.

tito's only advantage was geing a biggo tall mother ****er with pop......

what happened when he was put in with slicksters like oscar, bhop , winky and now roy.......

cotto has alot more skill than tito, the only think holding cotto back is his size disadvantage in the other weight classes....but skill for skill, cotto takes the cake with ease.....

Why there is always some comparison between them, Cotto is trying to write his history down as Tito did in the past, let them be. Yes Tito was a GREAT champion for Puerto Rico, but he isn't fighting anymore (I hope) and Cotto is still a great champion and he is doing what he can to win. Why not say hey! both are great fighters instead of "this one is better or the other sucks, he will never be like...". I like them both in my opinion they are great fighters.

While I Agree That Tito Is A Fan Fav I Think Cotto Has A Shot At Making His Own Mark In The Sport.
