lol at you trying to discredit Martinez's wins.chavez jr would wear cotto down cotto doesn't have the legs to get away from Chavez for 12 rounds and he damn sure would not ko Chavez.pavilik even in a drunken stupor would smack cotto around the ring like a pinball.

Now your underrating Chavez Jr, sure he's not that great but he's far from a bum. Chavez probably has far more power than Margarito, which would compensate for his lack of skill.

Cotto wouldn't KO Chavez but he might get a TKO stoppage. He'd beat the hell out of him the whole time. More than likely to a UD. Chavez is so basic. He doesn't cut the ring. He just follows his opponents around while getting pummeled. Say what you want about Margarito but he could cut the ring and had decent boxing ability.

I'm not sure how the Pavlik fight would go but you might be right about that one.

I'm sorry but anyone who arguably lost to Brian Vera doesn't deserve to be discussed among the best in any division.

Wasn't Martinez a Middleweight that literally everyone thought would mop the floor with Cotto despite his apparent injuries?

See now your doing it, Vera Chavez 1 was at best a draw, Chavez beat the **** out of him in the rematch, How can you explain featherfisted Trout dominating and shutting out Cotto and busting his face up, maybe that loss should affect the high esteen you hold Cotto in.

To my knowledge most of the guys I mentioned, aren't 39 year olds with shot knees, Cotto fans are way too confident and are lying to themselves trying to make themselves believe the Sergio win was legit.

I agree. That loss to Trout was pretty bad. You got me there. I predicted that Trout would get trounced :yep and was shocked at how poor Cotto looked in that fight. Even after the fight I didn't really think Trout was all that good but more surprised at how Cotto looked. But I'll chalk that up to a bad match in trainers. He's looking like his old self with Roach.

Ok fine. Perhaps I'm being unfair to Chavez. I just think he's garbage but he has a few good wins under his belt so he can't be as bad as I'm saying he is. But I stand by my prediction that Cotto would beat him at 160.

    Cotto is NOT A MIDDLEWEIGHT.

He might not even defend his 160lb title nor does he have to.
There is more $ for him at 154.

I predicted Trout would win, Trout is very underrated. Chavez is an amazing talent who unfortunately lacks dedication and has a poor work ethic. But when he focused he's a beast.

Chavez jr was completely unmotivated in that first vera fight he couldn't make weight the fight had to be delayed a bunch of times.chavez beat vera easily in the rematch.

Trout is not that good. I hate to say it because I rooted for him when he was coming up
But Trout is a high work rate fighter and has a solid chin. Thats it. Not a particularly accurate puncher or a hard puncher. Canelo found him and dropped him and Lara dominated him.

Chavez may not be as bad as I said he was but there is no way hes a beast
Even when hes focused hes pretty mediocre and beatable

Of course he would've put Lara down, but Lara didn't have the guts to stand and trade with Canelo.

Imagine the running Lara would have to do to last 12 rounds with Triple G. :?
