He is something to watch, at this point he's my favorite fighter to see in the ring. I have my doubts about him beating a prime Mosely. The thing that was apparent was that Cotto couldn't overcome Mosely's will. Mosely is still the type of fighter that will go after you all night, and Cotto didn't have the confidence to keep trading.

You picture a guy who was giving Cotto a very good fight, a few steps faster, hitting just a bit harder, throwing a few punches more per round, and I think Cotto may have suffered his first defeat. Cotto couldn't get Mosely to fight honest.. I think that was Cotto's finest fight to date which is what is interesting.

His speed is probably his most underrated attribute. I remember Mosley, Judah and Urkal all saying that they expected Cotto to be much slower and lethargic.

People think because he fights with his feet planted and because he doesn't LOOK fast that he's not...when I'd say he has more than adequate speed.

based on what are you saying that ???

b/c he is a great fefensive fighter doent mean that he is more intelligennt than anybody else, one thing is intelligence another thing is the type of style you use and how smart are do you fight based on that style

Floyd has adjusted to every fighter he has ever been in with.

Cotto has shown this too but he hasn't done it as much

Agreed. His hand speed was on par with Judah and Mosley. His hand speed seems to get faster with every fight.

Thus why I think he'd clean Floyd out, especially with the technical pressure style behind the jab that has historically not mixed well with Floyd.

u are misunderstanding that he is a great defenseve fighter and he is very hard to hit but based on the fighters he has faced i cant really know how intelligent in the ring he is, he showed some good adjustments againts judah, but only after loosing 5 rds at the beginig, the same judah cotto KO, until i see him against a guy that will hit him cleanly like cotto will, i cant really say how intelligent he is,, He is very intelligent but i dont know if his ring intelligence is better than other legends like duran, leonard, robinson, mosley, benitez etc

Floyd never lost 5 rounds to Judah. I showed you the judges scores and it was 8-4 AT BEST.

Why do you constantly make yourself out to be so stupid? Mayweather has had 18 championship fights, each fighter different from the other, he's fought pressure fighters, he's fought southpaws, he's fought slick boxers. He's won belts in 5 weight classes. Give it up already you cant win this.

I couldn't find one from Urkal or Judah but I did find this one from Carlos Quintana:

Said Quintana: "He surprised me with his hand speed. He was too fast. The body shots surprised me. It was his velocity, his quick hands. It's a bad feeling to lose like this as hard as I prepared for this fight, but what can you do? He is pretty fast and he hit me pretty good."
