Bad move I reckon. Less fights to choose from now. Can't fight any Al haymon fighters and possibly top rank now that he ****ed them off

Assuming he gets paid for fighting who ever he wants, then it was a great move

We know for sure it's good for Cotto. Time will tell if it is good Roc Nation.

If he fights Bundrage it will be for the middleweight title I believe, not the IBF 154.

I don't think getting away from Bob Arum is ever a mistake.

50 mil is huge considering he only got 350k ppv buys against Martinez, the MW champion of the world.

If Pac were to have fought Martinez, he would probably have done 1 mil minimum so nearly 3 times that of Cotto. To put it into perspective, Pac should be getting paid 150mil over 3 fights if he were to get the same deal with Roc nation.

Floyd got the 250mil over 5 fights which was just ridiculous, but despite losing money on May, I think it helped Showtime become a powerhouse in boxing and will probably recoup their money with May-Pac fight.

It depends what he is after if it's money it could be a master stroke but if it's legacy it could be a mistake who knows.

Too early to tell, but he got paid so on a monetary level it's a win. He's already fought the two best fighters of this era, so I don't think there's any super mega fights out there for him.

Was he ever actually a Top Rank fighter though? My understanding was that he was a free agent but had a strong working relationship with them, kind of like Provodnikov does.

That's what this is about for Roc Nation, it may be easy for other promoters to say no to dealing with Roc Nation but it's much harder to say no to dealing with Cotto, and therefore, now Roc Nation. Cotto was probably not worth this much to them directly, but what they may be able to do later on down the road because of him would make him worth it indirectly.

If it pays off, it will be a good move. Still pretty risky though.

Cotto has maybe 3 mega fights in him, if that manny, so he is calculated and careful on his opponent .... But , me personally, WOUKD love for him to fight GGG so he can either best the stigma or built on GGG resume status.... And that for me is worth the fight....

Now as for money, I don't think GGG makes sense, he is a great boxer but it has not translated to butts in the seats at PPV....

So Cotto would have to be draw as he was against Maravilla....

    Bigger money fights out there....
