Miguel Cotto's overrated career

    Look at his resume, cherry picked and well matched in his entire career.

    Has he even beaten a champion a taken their belt?

    Most of the titles he won were vacant titles but the answer is yes. Look who it was against though Yuri Forman(paper champ)
    and against an old, injured Martinez. Has never unified his titles, lost to Margarito then whined and complained about hand wraps and after he was able to beat Margarito the second time, said Margarito's hand felt the same. Before that in his prime he went toe to toe with Mosley who wasn't in his prime and eeked out a decision.

    Why is he a shoe in for the hall of fame?
    When he finally faced great fighters who weren't passed their primes or injured, he lost and even suffered a loss to Austin freaking Trout.

    He had the guts to fight the best time and time again (prior to teaming up with Roach)


    For that he deserves a huge amount of respect (that Roach is doing a fantastic job of ruining)

    Hmm fight the best, ya when it made financial sense to. Pac and May provided him with a payday and that was it.

    I agree. The hate he gets these days is unreal, and all these muppets that give him stick for not fighting Triple God, wouldn't do either in his shoes

    Forget Triple G, his career in terms of being hall of famer worthy leaves a lot to be desired.

    I don't think Cotto ever avoided any challenges until his MW reign.

    Sergio was a shell of his former self, yet even with 2 bad legs, no leverage for punching power, concussion, Cotto still couldn't put him away. Sarmiento stopped the fight. Cotto didn't have the confidence to walk down Sergio even after dropping him 3 times in the first round, he was still making Sergio come to him, which was a good strategy and sensible boxing, although it might have been out of fear that even a crippled Martinez still had enough pop to hurt him.

    Delvin Rodriguez who cares.

    Geale was drained and he headbutted to boot.

    Cotto was a beast at 140, Pretty good at 147, and mediocre at 154.

    Cotto was dominated by Pacquiao, Margarito, Mayweather and Trout.
    Cotto barely beat Mosley, Clottey, both should be draws and Paulie made it closer than it should be.
    Cotto beat a crippled Margarito, Martinez, Foreman, and Mayorga broke his hand.
    Making Cotto's best untainted wins Corley, Bailey, Judah(tainted by low blows),Adullaev, Torres, Gomez and Quintana.

    And Corley, Judah and Torres almost knocked him out.

    Look at his resume it's not impressive, with vacant title fights and a bunch of bums. Best wins was in his prime against a out of prime Mosley and a rematch against Margarito who stopped him in their first fight. Got some close decisions to go his way otherwise he would be closer to just above average over hyped Puerto Rican.

    Bradley has had a better career. Even if you think he never beat Manny, he wasn't beat up by Manny like Cotto was. Ruslan, Marquez, Peterson, Alexander, Vargas, Rios, Abregu, Witter, and Holt is a better resume than Miguel's

    its hilarious to watch someone call themselves a boxing fan and try to **** on cotto yet act like ggg is amazing..its unreal....alternate universe type stuff

    ggg would have to fight 11 c leve fighters in a row to make what cotto is gonna make Saturday night

    "cotto only did this or that for paydays".....yet all you do is defend ggg saying "he wants a big payday that's why".....get lost jerkoffs
