Pacquiao is one dimensional. Cotto is not. Cotto jab is one of the best in the game. You sound like a *******.

I'm glad he could beat up a blown up lighweight. Anyone who's followed Cotto's career knows that he does most of his damage with that left hand.

Okay, well ask Mosley than. Cotto chose to brawl early on and got hurt in the process. After that it was all survival mode for Cotto. He was very effective boxing early on behind his jab. He and his corner chose the wrong plan to fight Pac. Would the outcome be different, who knows?
But Pac had an amazing performance regardless.

Yeah, Pacquiao is one dimensional yet he whopped Cotto's ass all over that ring.:nut Cotto could do nothing with that right hand and Pacquiao used Cotto's jab against him as he countered repeatedly without fear of Cotto's right hand. If a one dimensional fighter can take away Cotto's best weapon and beat him sensless(he even rope a doped him for god sakes), then what does that say about Cotto?

Cotto needs to get rid of his corner.

Yeah, Cotto always seems to bring the wrong gameplan when he gets beatdown. I don't think so. You're right though, Pac had a great performance which is why Cotto was left a bloodied and battered mess at the end of the night.

Well thats my point. A good trainer would have kept him from faling into Pac's plan which is to make you brawl. Against any good technical boxer, Pac has struggled. Cotto is a good technician.

Ya he looked good, but he did EXACTLY what i was hoping he wouldnt do. He got desperate and went overboard trying to punch with pac. Kinda like he did with Corley.

If he would have continued to be how he usually is, and just took what pac gave him, the fight could have gone down the stretch and been pretty interesting leading into the later rounds.... but he would have success, and even though his own corner told him not to get desperate, he did it anyways, so he would box well using his skills... taking what pac gave him, then he would go and try to make **** happen by punching with pac and thats when pac ****ed him up.

I really thought Cotto would have more bearing then that and be more intelligent.... but whatever, pac is a great fighter.

this was the thread i made a few months back saying EXACTLY what i didnt want cotto to do, and although he didnt do it as bad as i was fearing, he still fell into that trap when he didnt need to. You cant do that against a fighter as great as pac and come out with a W.... you need to fight near perfect against him. Hell even JMM fought near perfect in their fights and was dropped what... 4 times in 2 fights or something?

Everyone thinks Mannys power is nothing, till they feel his shots and takes em outta there gameplan. Guys at the gym that spar with him say he's very heavy handed! I think Cotto thought his punches wouldnt hurt him and he was the stronger fighter.

you're all dreaming if you think different tactics or trainer would have made any difference to the outcome. pac's still got the speed of a sfw but the power of a ww and no matter what cotto did, he still wouldn't see those punches coming at himn in bunches. cotto and pac are on a different level altogether.
