nothing about floyd is 'normal' he used the wrong word

floyd is not flawed or he wouldn't be dominating his opponents cleanly with the highest compubox accuracy nearly double the % of the person second to him which is ward. Takes the least punishment in the sport. He's defense is not flawed and i think the greatest of all time so were is the flaw? I think to beat floyd you got to pretty much be able to do everything he can do but have a reach advantage and be quicker, and equally as defensive and very stronger would help. He's very hard to beat. No one has even come close in over 5 years.

well his trainer wanna to make a believable lie to his fighter. I think he should say Floyd is a slightly above average boxer :) just slightly!.

He sure didn't look overly impressive against Castillo or Ortiz for that matter.

Floyd is nothing great....he does have weaknesses and they will get exploited on the 5th of May.

In fact Diaz said they have some secret knowledge....

Mayweather will no longer be undefeated after the 5th !!!!

I disagree. Floyd is not a "textbook" boxer. A textbook fighter sticks to the basics: keeping his guard at cheek level, depending on the jab to set up combinations, etc. Floyd leads with faints, hooks, straight rights and barely uses his jab to set up offense. He focuses more on baiting reactions to counter his opponent. A perfect example of a textbook fighter would be either of the Klitschko brothers.

Floyd has certain elements of a textbook fighter. What's often overlooked is how economical he is. Peep Joe Louis THE Textbook King, he didn't need to use much movement for offense or defense. Many people mistake running around with too much movement for "good footwork".

Well if Floyd is to be believed he was injured in the first fight and the second he looked pretty good.

IMO he looked very sharp in the Ortiz fight (especially his right hand)

When you have fought professionally 42 times and you can only point to one opponent who gave you any real trouble speaks volumes.

Back on topic, Im not sure what Cottos trainer meant here maybe something was lost in translation??

But what I do know is Floyd certainly ISN'T a "normal" or "text book" fighter at all

I don't think he meant normal as in whether Floyd is textbook or not.

Normal as in Floyd is person just like all of us. People aren't perfect and can have rougher days. Floyd-Castillo I for example where he came in with an injury.

I got what he meant, in context it doesn't really suggest that they're underestimating Floyd at all. ESB making a fuss over nothing like usual lol.

That would make sense......its more difficult when something is translated to get the real meaning!

I'm interested to see the 24/7 for this fight will be also interesting to see what kind of Mayweather turns up as he knows Cotto well.
