2 technically sound boxers known for their cagey styles and counterpunching skills at Bantamweight. I see this being a great chess match but does Lujan have the ability to beat a talented slickster like Happy Lora?
Lujan was a solid fighter and obviously beat some good men but I have to give this one to Lora .... with one caveat. At their very best I give the fight to Lora but prime against prime, this is a 50/50 fight or maybe 60/40 in Lujan's favor. One thing looking at the records of these two men did was remind me of the near greatness of Alberto Davila. They each beat him in title fights nearly 10 years apart. (Actually, Lora beat him twice.) Tweety was good for a really long time.
Lora was better than Lujan. Short of having a better chin, I don't know else that Lujan had over Lora. Lora by UD.
