Geezo. If this is accurate, he's picking an awkward mover. Urgh, hard to look good vs Vasquez. Great experience all the same, he has an upcoming fight to be confirmed next week according to his team so this may be it. But sheesh that's awkward, not sure how I feel about this.

Although I have to be honest, haven't seen Vasquez fight at 140 so maybe lost some movement, slowed down etc???

good solid matchup. Ill favor the kid though. Id like to see taylor vs orozco or taylor vs lipnets or lipnets orozco. Any thoughts on those matchups?

This fight is on Saturday night, Royal Highland Centre in Edinburgh, Scotland. Same division. Jose Carlos Ramirez vs Mike Reed, predictions & breakdown for either fight ?

Too early for Taylor, Vasquez too much experience or Taylor just too good ?

Not too early, because Taylor is just too good, Vazquez excels against guys who are one dimensional and tends to falter against fighters who are more versatile, that have a few wrinkles to their game, and Taylor has plenty, I actually think Josh stops Miguel for the first time.

I've been undecided. I've watched loads of Vasquez fights even recently and he does well vs guys who need to fight in the pocket or set for power punches, he off sets guys like Gesta, Prescott & Shafikov easilly & spoils on the inside. He did fine vs Argenis Mendez, it was a close competitive fight. Mendez was still loading on right hand a lot too.

Taylor far more skilled/rounded than most of Vasquez' best wins. I couldn't find the Mickey Bey fight online, that would have been interesting but Vasquez doesn't seem to move quite so much now, he throws arm punches & isn't afraid to use his head (literally) but he frustrates opponent's and Taylor will want to impress. If Taylor is over keen & doesn't set his shots up, Vasquez will cause problems, his jumping (lunging at times) in & out of range may frustrate Taylor too.

I see a scrappy fight, Taylor adjusting & outworking Vasquez but not sure I see knockdowns or stoppages. I feel a lot of Vasquez' best peak wins were vs solid, unspectacular opposition but Taylor for all his talent can only call on Davies win really & he isn't anywhere near Vasquez.

I'm picking Taylor, great learning fight & actually think he'll have easier time vs so called top 140 fighters than Vasquez, due to awkwardness & experience. Hope you're right though, love to see Taylor win well. Nice step up fight.
