He looks in great shape. I don't think that's the issue of whether he can get past Clottey though. I'm sure getting away from home distractions is good for him mentally also. The only thing I worry about with Miguel in this fight is what game plan he is going to have. He head-hunted with Margarito all night and didn't use the things we saw Shane use to beat Margo-Cheato. Clottey is not a guy he can just try to knock his block off. Miguel didn't use the body work against Margarito so hopefully he will stick to that with Clottey. It will be important because Clottey uses that defensive shell and it would help open up scoring opportunities.

No one can be sure if Margarito loaded gloves against Miguel (although I'm am very suspicious he did after I re-watched the fight a few times) but Miguel has to change his game plan up from what he did in that fight. His has all the tools to accomplish what he needs to do though of course. He's gotta use that body work, and keep his ass off the ropes!!! It was killing me seeing Cotto go to the ropes against Margarito instead of turning him or pushing him off because he was taking too much to give his own and I knew he had the ability to beat Cheato with no problem like Shane did, he just didn't use the right tactics.

Miguel is looking very good. In that first one when he is working the mitts is it just me or did someone else notice his legs are bigger than usual?

well they hes thighs look really big and muscular. I seem to remember in the margarito fight the measurements for most things were the same(dont bring a joke in here) but cotto's thighs(and maybe legs) were bigger

I've seen one when he was preparing for the margo fight, he mostly went into the defensive and I must say his defensive was amazing in the vid

Yeah i think i remember thats as well. A lot of power come from the legs. Just look at Pacquiaos. He seems very well conditioned. I hope he can pull out the win.

Cotto still leans in forward a bit too much. i know thats part of his style but makes it easier for the uppercut to land. Hope he can correct this because OFFENSIVELY, Cotto game is complete. just needs to tweak his D.

his mindset is he'll take an uppercut to give a left hook to the body, i dont think he'll ever change this to be honest, but i do agree with you

I think because he's actually left handed but fights orthodox, *strong hand is jab hand*, but I could be wrong

No, you're right. Miguel is left-handed. That's why his jab is so damaging for just a jab.

Yep, Margarito's left-uppercut was the most damaging punch in that fight, but of course that's Margarito's best punch as well.
