    vic is just a bad muther ****er who fought a very smart and disciplined fight..

    Major major major props to Vic to come back from a crushing defeat then to adjust his style do his homework come back and win a world title by ko then unify also by ko (against most predictions including mine)....AWESOME

    GO VIC!!!!!!!

    No, he was definitely overrated by myself and many others. Not skill-wise, but mentality wise, and fighting is 90% mental.

    he was rated highly by many in this forum

    in that he was P4P best stylistic wise, front runner for fighter of the year and considered invincible 118 and below.

    that is overrated.

    Yep and that was Mijares flaw, overconfidence and just thinking he was gonna roll over Vic. Happens to everyone though, happened to Pavlik, hell happened to Vic when he fought Donaire

    That's exactly it. Vic showed amazing speed and Mijares wasn't prepared for that and never adjusted throughout the fight. Also, it is obvious Mijares couldn't hurt him.

    And I agree with the ones that say Mijares was overconfident, all smiling and thinking he would box his way to an easy win. Boy Vic wiped the smile off his face... I'm still shocked!
