Imagine a two yard run on 3rd and 7 resulting in a first down. How long would those refs be left in the the NFL?

Or since this is ESB, letting a striker walk 20 yards offsides with no flag going up... in any case, if Buffer didn't read it wrong, or some flunky didn't fail 3rd grade arithmetic, that judge needs to GO. NOW.

Buffer got it right allright, Tucker has a track record of bizarre scorecards (Marquez V Barrera) and should be fired immediately and banned for life from ever attending a prize fight again! It was a good fight and Navarro was tough but was outclassed by Mijares by at least 5 rounds. Mijares V Montiel?

i haven't watched the fight yet but is there 1 round in the entire fight that Navarro won EXTREMLY clearly?

and is there 1 round in the entire fight that Mijares won EXTREMELY clearly?

if the answer is yes to both then 120-108 makes no sense, regardless of who it was given to.

There was no clear Navarro round. There were up to three you could give him.

sorry it was unclear. and roshambo would have been fitting if i indeed said that the undercard was bad. they clearly weren't:D

Mijares won by 3-4 points, but even if Doug Tucker's 120-108 card read in Mijares's favor it would smell of corruption. Neither fighter dominated all 12, much less Navarro.

One thing I don't understand is that Larry Merchant has access to the fighters post-fight, but the judges are always allowed to sneak out through the back door without having to explain anything.

And yet they wonder why boxing loses fans.
